Entrepreneurship in Luxembourg: Real Stories, Real Lessons

On June 16, the “Empower to Employ” project held an inspiring community event, Entrepreneurship in Luxembourg: Real Stories, Real Lessons. The gathering brought together aspiring and established Ukrainian entrepreneurs ready to turn ideas into action, build businesses from scratch, and adapt creatively to a new market.
The event focused on real-life journeys of Ukrainians who launched or developed their entrepreneurial projects in Luxembourg. The speakers shared not only their successes but also the challenges, learning curves, and emotional resilience needed to pursue entrepreneurship abroad.
We warmly thank our speakers:
Svitlana Mykoliuk, Export & Marketing Manager at Dr. Pauly-Bergweiler Winery, offered insight into navigating international markets and promoting family-owned businesses with authenticity.
Anastasiia Voinalovych, co-founder of Art Party Lux Sàrl-S, reflected on building a creative event agency with her husband, turning personal passion into a joyful business model.
Anna Ivanova, founder of FACE IT, spoke candidly about establishing a skincare practice in Luxembourg while balancing family life and cultural transition.
Olga Vaseiko, co-owner of Etna Gourmet, shared the story of creating a boutique grocery store in Belair — a fusion of Sicilian excellence and Ukrainian service.
Olena Zalizna, co-founder of Letz Bouquet, described her path from running a floral studio in Kyiv to opening a boutique in central Luxembourg.
🇺🇦 Valerii & Valeriia Komlyk, co-founders of V&V Delice, proudly introduced their new venture: Armes, the first Ukrainian restaurant in Luxembourg, which opened in February 2025.
Each speaker emphasized the importance of community, perseverance, and adapting one’s skill set to a new environment. Their stories showed that entrepreneurship is not just about business, it’s about identity, contribution, and creating spaces of meaning in a new country.
The event was filled with energy, solidarity, and practical insights. Many participants left feeling motivated, connected, and better equipped to pursue their own business ideas.
