Empower to Employ: How Digital Tools Help Rebuild Careers

On March 17 and 20, we hosted two practical and inspiring workshops as part of our Empower to Employ program. The focus of these sessions was “Useful Tools for Job Search: Personal Social Media and Content Creation.” These workshops were designed to equip our participants with effective strategies for navigating the modern job market — with a special emphasis on visibility, self-presentation, and confidence-building.
Our guest speaker and trainer was Hanna Kramarets, a marketing expert, content creator, and social media strategist with extensive experience in digital branding. Hanna guided participants through key elements of using LinkedIn to connect with employers, build meaningful professional networks, and communicate their skills and values clearly. She also introduced AI-powered tools and Canva as accessible platforms for creating impactful personal content, from banners and CVs to posts that showcase one’s personality and expertise.
Hanna’s approach was practical, empathetic, and tailored to the realities our participants face. Many of them are experienced professionals — some with 15 or 20 years of work behind them in banking, IT, management, or public service. Due to the war, they were forced to leave their homes, jobs, and often their entire professional identity. Now, in Luxembourg, they are learning how to reintroduce themselves to a new job market — one with different expectations, professional culture, and communication styles.
We asked Hanna why she believes these digital tools matter so much for job seekers today. She shared the following:
“Participants in Empower to Employ are not beginners. They are people with knowledge, careers, and achievements. But when you lose your environment, language, and network, you must rebuild your path from scratch.
LinkedIn here is not just a job board — it’s a place to be seen, to be remembered, and to find new directions. And when you combine it with Canva and AI, you make yourself more visible, more confident, and more in control of your own story.”
The workshops left participants with not only new skills, but also renewed motivation. Hanna emphasized the power of authenticity, consistency, and storytelling in professional life. We thank her sincerely for her energy, insight, and inspiration.
