Exploring the Future: AI Networking Evening in Luxembourg

On Monday, 12 May, the Luxembourg-Ukraine Chamber of Commerce (LUCC) hosted an inspiring IT Networking Evening under the umbrella of the #EmpowerToEmploy project. Held with the generous support of FSE+ and the Ministry of Labour of Luxembourg, the event focused on one of today’s most transformative and relevant topics — Artificial Intelligence (AI). It brought together professionals from the tech sector, aspiring job seekers, and those curious about the growing impact of digital innovation on employment and everyday life.
Our guest speaker, Artem Antonenko, is a Ukrainian IT expert currently living and working in Luxembourg. With over a decade of hands-on experience in microservices architecture, system design, and leading Agile tech teams, Artem offered a fresh, practical, and accessible perspective on AI — a subject that often feels intimidating to those outside the industry. His ability to break down complex technologies into understandable, relatable insights made his talk especially valuable.
The session focused on how AI is already influencing our daily lives, from personalized recommendations and virtual assistants to automation in workplaces and decision-making in finance, healthcare, and education. Artem also reflected on what AI might mean for the future — not only in terms of innovation but also in terms of ethics, responsibility, and workforce transformation. He emphasized the importance of developing digital literacy and adaptability, especially in times of rapid change.
Participants were introduced to a number of practical AI tools that can support productivity, learning, and career development. These included applications for automating repetitive tasks, enhancing communication, generating content, and managing personal workflow. The tools presented were carefully selected to be accessible for both experienced tech professionals and newcomers just starting to explore the field.
After the presentation, the evening transitioned into an informal BBQ and networking session. The relaxed atmosphere encouraged open conversation, peer-to-peer sharing, and new professional connections. For many participants, it was a chance to not only reflect on what they had learned but also build community and feel part of a growing ecosystem of learning and opportunity.
We sincerely thank Artem Antonenko for his time, clarity, and the engaging delivery that sparked both enthusiasm and meaningful dialogue. His contribution demonstrated how knowledge sharing and openness are key to navigating innovation.
This event reaffirmed that AI is not just a trend — it’s a powerful tool that’s reshaping how we work, live, and think. By creating spaces where people can learn and grow together, we foster inclusion, empowerment, and long-term impact. LUCC is proud to support this journey and looks forward to welcoming more participants in the future.
