Legal Coaching Session | Empower to Employ

On Thursday, 22 May 2025, the Empower to Employ project hosted a targeted legal coaching session designed to support Ukrainian professionals pursuing careers in the legal and compliance sectors in Luxembourg.
This event brought together five accomplished legal experts who have successfully built their careers in Luxembourg’s complex legal landscape. They shared practical advice, personal journeys, and insights into adapting to a new professional environment, navigating diploma recognition processes, and developing legal careers in an international context.
- Evgenia Paliy – President of LUCC and a seasoned transactional lawyer specializing in trade finance, investment projects, and cross-border legal structuring.
- Illia Neizvestny – Partner at M&S Law Firm, international business & tax lawyer with 15+ years of experience advising funds, family offices, and multinational clients in Luxembourg.
- Anna Bukvych – Corporate/M&A legal manager with extensive experience in private practice and international commercial law.
- Pavlo Kazymirov – Legal & Compliance leader with deep expertise in EU financial regulation, fintech, and corporate governance.
- Anna Pushkarova – Senior Legal Officer at TMF Group, working in global entity management and legal compliance.
Throughout the session, participants engaged actively in a candid discussion on Luxembourg’s legal job market. Topics included how to transfer qualifications, what employers expect from international professionals, and how to stay competitive as a newcomer in the sector. Attendees asked thoughtful questions and received valuable advice on CV development, interview readiness, and navigating legal certifications.
The session provided not just information but encouragement — reinforcing that even in a highly regulated profession like law, adaptation and growth are possible with the right guidance and determination. Speakers were open about their own challenges and how they overcame barriers, making the conversation both inspiring and deeply relatable.
We sincerely thank all our guest speakers for their time, openness, and professional generosity.
This coaching session was part of the Empower to Employ initiative — an employment support project led by the Luxembourg-Ukraine Chamber of Commerce (LUCC) with the support of FSE+ and the Ministère du Travail Luxembourg. The project aims to help Ukrainian professionals integrate into the Luxembourg labour market through skills-building, networking, and mentorship.
