Knowledge as a Strategic Asset: Strengthening Institutional Cooperation Between Luxembourg and Ukraine
Supporting collaboration between universities, public institutions, municipalities, financial organisations and civil society through knowledge exchange and international partnerships.
Knowledge as a Strategic Asset
Sustainable recovery depends not only on investment and infrastructure, but also on strong institutions, knowledge exchange and trusted international partnerships.
Recognising this, LUCC launched the Knowledge Partnerships & Institutional Dialogue Committee to strengthen cooperation between public institutions, universities, municipalities, financial organisations and civil society across Luxembourg, Ukraine and Europe.
The Committee’s inaugural meeting explored how institutional collaboration can accelerate Ukraine’s European integration while creating long-term value for both countries.
Strengthening Institutional Cooperation
Paul Galles, Member of the Luxembourg Parliament, shared reflections on democratic governance, European integration and the importance of trust as the foundation of successful international partnerships.
The discussion was moderated by Iryna Vilgash, Founder and CEO of MINDS Coaching & Consulting and Wake Up Education, who guided participants through an exchange focused on practical cooperation and institutional capacity building.
Participants explored opportunities for collaboration across education, municipal partnerships, public administration, universities and financial institutions, identifying initiatives that could strengthen professional exchange, knowledge transfer and institutional development.
Building Long-Term Partnerships
The discussion reinforced an important conclusion: successful international cooperation is built not only through financial resources, but also through relationships, expertise and shared experience.
Next Committee Meeting
The Committee will continue this dialogue during its next meeting on 1 October 2026, with a continued focus on developing practical partnerships that strengthen institutional cooperation between Luxembourg, Ukraine and the wider European community.
