Paula Redondo Pereira is Head of Government Relations & Regulatory Strategy at the Luxembourg Stock Exchange (LuxSE), where she leads the exchange’s strategic engagement with public authorities, regulatory bodies and international organisations. Her work focuses on advancing LuxSE’s positioning in key regulatory and policy discussions and shaping initiatives of relevance to the capital markets ecosystem, both at European and global levels. Prior to assuming this role, Paula led LuxSE’s Listing and Regulatory Affairs department, overseeing all listing activities and regulatory strategy. She joined LuxSE in 2017 and played a central role in steering its Regulatory Affairs team, while also taking on responsibility for the Listing team in 2023, a core pillar of the exchange’s business. Paula is a committed advocate for sustainable finance and capital markets development. She actively represents LuxSE and the Luxembourg Green Exchange (LGX) in leading international fora, including the Federation of European Securities Exchanges (FESE), where she has served on the Board since 2022, as well as the World Federation of Exchanges (WFE) and the International Capital Market Association (ICMA). She was also a member of the European Commission’s Technical Expert Group on Sustainable Finance. Before joining LuxSE, Paula was a Legal Advisor at the Portuguese Securities Market Commission (CMVM), and subsequently served as Head of Cabinet and Legal Advisor to the Secretary of State for European Affairs in Portugal’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She began her legal career at the law firm Uría Menéndez and later joined the New York office of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, where she advised Latin American clients on equity and debt capital markets transactions. Paula holds a Law Degree from Universidade Nova de Lisboa, an LL.M. in International Business and Economic Law from Georgetown University, and a Master’s in European Affairs from Universidade Católica Portuguesa, where she also lectured as a Guest Professor. She completed the Transition to General Management executive programme at INSEAD. In recognition of her professional contributions, Paula was named one of the WFE Women Leaders in 2021 and featured in Paperjam's Women on Boards initiative in 2025.
