Conference on “Energy Efficiency in Industry and Agriculture”

On March 20, 2023, LUCC organized a significant conference focused on “Energy Efficiency in Industry and Agriculture.” Held at the venue of PwC Luxembourg and supported by the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, this event aimed to explore innovative strategies for enhancing energy efficiency in key sectors.
The conference drew a diverse array of participants, with approximately 70 attendees joining the morning session. Among them were representatives from Ukrainian and Luxembourg businesses, government officials, as well as representatives from environmental and sustainability organizations, GIZ, and the European Investment Bank.
Throughout the event, attendees engaged in insightful discussions and shared best practices on how to optimize energy usage in industrial and agricultural settings. The exchange of ideas and expertise paved the way for potential collaborations and initiatives aimed at driving sustainable development and economic growth.
As part of the conference program, LUCC organized special visits to the production facilities of CERATIZIT and DE VERBAND in Luxembourg. These visits provided the Ukrainian delegation with firsthand insights into innovative energy concepts implemented within these facilities. Participants witnessed firsthand how the integration of new energy concepts and the adoption of energy-efficient equipment have led to significant reductions in energy consumption.
The conference underscored LUCC’s commitment to promoting sustainable development and fostering mutually beneficial partnerships between Luxembourg and Ukraine. By facilitating dialogue and knowledge exchange, LUCC aims to contribute to the advancement of energy efficiency initiatives that benefit both economies and the environment.
