The Luxembourg-Ukraine Chamber of Commerce invites you to support a meaningful cause by joining our Christmas Charity Reception Thursday 12 December 2024, at Le Royal in Luxembourg. This event is a unique opportunity to show your commitment to humanitarian values.
The Velyka Rodyna, the Great Family project is a shelter in Kharkiv with 80 elderly and disabled people affected by the war, who require constant and essential care, which is only possible through your donations. A charity auction and lottery will be held during the evening; all proceeds will go to the Velyka Rodyna.
Supporting this cause is a chance to improve their lives, bringing hope, joy, and care to the people of the shelter of the Velyka Rodyna project.
The Christmas Charity event is also a Ukrainian style Christmas celebration with its Christmas stars, shimmering colors, sweet flavors, enchanting carolers, and music. We offer a truly magical, festive, and warm setting, and would like to share with you the spirit of Christmas and generosity.

Support the Velyka Rodyna Project
The Velyka Rodyna Project is a life-saving initiative dedicated to providing shelter, care, and dignity to elderly residents in Kharkiv, Ukraine, who have been severely impacted by the war. Since its establishment in 2022, this non-profit organization has created a sanctuary for those who are most vulnerable, including the bedridden, disabled, and those left alone without family support.
Why They Need Your Help: The project currently cares for 50 elderly people, 22 of whom are bedridden. Residents receive round-the-clock care, medical attention, food, and companionship, all in a safe and supportive environment. However, the costs of maintaining the shelter are significant, and with the ongoing war, resources are becoming increasingly scarce.
How Your Donation Makes a Difference
- €250 per month is needed to care for each resident, covering essential costs such as medical care, food, and utilities.
- Your donations will directly fund improvements to the facility, provide necessary medications, and ensure that no elderly person is left behind.
- Contributions also support ongoing efforts to improve the quality of life for residents, including creating accessible outdoor spaces, medical facilities, and physical rehabilitation areas.
